At Building Blocks Pediatric Therapy, we provide occupational therapy solutions to support children with disabilities, enhancing their development and quality of life.

Our mission is to deliver high-quality pediatric occupational therapy grounded in evidence, collaboration, and compassionate care—supporting each child’s functional goals and family priorities.

Paediatric Occupational Therapy

Building Blocks Pediatric Therapy is a team of occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants and rehabilitation assistants who support children and families with practical, goal-focused care.

At our practice, we believe in the power of play and engagement.

Our therapy sessions are designed to be fun and interactive, helping children develop essential skills while enjoying the process. We work closely with families to provide parenting support and guidance, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed in their daily activities and social interactions. Together, we can make a difference!

Heather is a neurodiversity-affirming Paediatric Occupational Therapist who supports children in developing the skills they need to participate fully and confidently in their daily lives. She celebrates each child’s unique strengths, interests, and ways of experiencing the world.

Using a collaborative and strengths-based approach, Heather works alongside children and their families to build skills in play, fine and gross motor, emotional regulation, self-care, learning, and independence—always respecting each child’s individual communication style, sensory preferences, and developmental profile.

Oscar

Therapy Dog

Oscar is a 6-year-old Australian Labradoodle and a gentle therapy dog who brings comfort, calm, and connection to children who need it most. With his warm presence and steady temperament, Oscar supports kids dealing with health challenges, helping them feel more regulated and more confident.  Whether he’s offering a quiet cuddle during an appointment, sitting patiently during a moment of overwhelm, or helping to improve motor skills, Oscar meets each child exactly where they’re at. His role is simple but powerful: to make challenging moments feel a little lighter—one paw, and one smile at a time.
